Vaser BBL

The Vaser BBL procedure begins with the harvesting of fat tissue via Vaser-assisted liposuction from areas determined during the consultation, such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or other areas individually assessed by the physician. Vaser technology uses ultrasound energy to emulsify the fat tissue before aspiration.

The harvested fat is then processed and transferred to the buttocks, following the established surgical plan. Some of the transferred fat may be resorbed naturally by the body, and the degree of integration differs from one patient to another.

The goal of the procedure is to reshape body proportions using your own tissue, without a buttock implant. The result depends on the anatomy, the amount of fat available, the quality of the skin, the technique used, healing, and compliance with postoperative instructions.

The doctor will explain during the consultation the areas that can be treated, the limits of the procedure, the risks, the type of anesthesia, the recovery period, and the necessary recommendations before and after the intervention.

Vaser BBL is usually performed under general anesthesia. Recovery varies from patient to patient and depends on the extent of the procedure, the areas treated, the amount of fat harvested and transferred, and whether postoperative instructions are followed.

After the procedure, swelling, bruising, discomfort, tension, temporary numbness, or changes in sensitivity in the treated areas may occur. The intensity and duration of these manifestations may vary.

Your doctor may recommend wearing a compression garment, avoiding direct pressure on the buttocks for a set period of time, limiting physical exertion, and attending regular post-operative check-ups. Positioning during the recovery period is important and should be followed as directed.

Like any surgical procedure, Vaser BBL has benefits, limitations, and risks. These may include bleeding, hematoma, seroma, infection, edema, bruising, asymmetry, contour irregularities, partial resorption of the transferred fat, fat necrosis, nodules, changes in sensation, scarring, thrombosis, embolism, fat embolism, the need for revision surgery, and risks associated with anesthesia.

The result gradually stabilizes as the edema subsides and the tissues heal. Significant variations in weight, lifestyle, skin quality, and individual healing process can influence the final appearance.
