Implantless mastopexy, also known as a breast lift, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that aims to lift and reshape sagging or sagging breasts without the use of breast implants.
This procedure can be performed to correct breasts that have lost firmness and shape as a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight change or the natural aging process.
The implant-free mastopexy procedure involves removing excess skin and rearranging existing breast tissue to give the breasts a lifted, firmer and more youthful appearance. In some cases, it may also be necessary to reduce the size of the areola to match the new breast shape.
Before the operation, an examination of the breasts is necessary, not only by palpation but also by breast ultrasound.
It is forbidden to take anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, ibuprofen), contraceptives or other drugs that increase the risk of bleeding for at least 14 days before the operation. It is recommended that patients stop smoking both pre- and post-operatively to avoid wound healing complications.
This procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and may require a recovery period of several weeks.
Patients may experience swelling, bruising and discomfort in the first few days after the procedure, but these symptoms gradually fade. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions regarding physical activities, wearing a special bra and any other post-operative recommendations to ensure proper recovery and desired results.
